Playing the APK? 3 steps to keep your progress
The Google Play version is signed differently from the APK, so Google Play can't update the APK and Android won't install one over the other: you need to uninstall the APK, then install from Google Play.
- Open RunBite (the APK), go to Menu › Settings › Account and link Google (or Apple). Wait until it says "Linked".
- Uninstall the RunBite APK.
- Install RunBite from Google Play, open it and sign in with the same Google (or Apple) account to get your progress back.
Important: your progress lives only on the phone until you link an account. If you uninstall the APK without linking, the progress is lost and can't be recovered. No Account section in Settings? Ask us on Discord before you uninstall.
